“When we recognize the virtues, the talent of Mother Earth, something is born in us, some kind of connection. Love is born.” Thích Nhat Hanh
Please join in on Sunday, June 12th, for Rooted in Mindfulness 1st, single day Kalyana Mitta (spiritual friendship) group. This Mindful Field Trip to Devils Lake State Park invites us to have time together, to connect, share and deepen our mindful living practice, in one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful state parks.
We will be meeting at the picnic are of the park at 10:00 AM. Chat a bit, then head up the bluff. After recovering from the climb, there will be a lightly guided sit. Then time for a little sightseeing and down the bluff. Once we reach “camp” we’ll have a picnic.
Don’t worry, not everyone will be climbing the bluff. Some will prefer to hangout at ground zero and enjoy beautiful Devil’s Lake.
Lunch you say??? Lunch will NOT be provided. Everyone please pack your own picnic lunch. If you care to bring a dish to pass, no one will complain.
All Rooted in Mindfulness members and family are invited.
Use main entrance to Devil’s Lake State Park on the north shore of the lake off County Highway DL. The Visitor Center, Chateau, Nature Center, picnic area, shelters and beach are on the north shore. Quartzite, Northern Lights and Ice Age campgrounds are all accessed by the north shore entrance.
It is about a two hour drive from RIM. Driving directions can be found here
